Classes: All levels of Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop

Experience: Crystal is a native of the Detroit Metropolitan area. She began dancing at the young age of three and has been trained in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical and hip hop. She studied at Artistry in Motion and Fem Fatale Dance Studio. At the age of fourteen at the request of the studio director Crystal was asked to teach for the first time on her own. This sparked her love of teaching. Soon following, she would aid her mentor in the non-profit Dance with Me program; teaching dance in inner city schools that would otherwise have no after-school activities. Crystal was a member of the Grand Valley cheerleading team in 2005 and 2006. She currently holds a board position at GVSU for their hip hop dance team! She has performed and competed across the nation for twelve years, studying under tap masters such as Bruce Bradley and Robert L. Reed.

This past year Crystal began to choreograph award winning routines for various performances, high school teams, competitions and recitals in the Grand Rapids area. She believes that dance is living and always changing. Much like her passion, she is ever evolving and learning more in becoming a better teacher and dancer. Crystal is excited to begin her first full year at MoCo!
